Good morning {{first_name|Reader}}. I’ll be honest, I’m out of it. I’ve been out of it for a bit. You ever get into a funk and wonder how to get out of it? Same. But I have no idea how to get out of it. Maybe coffee.
Back from another trip. A very HOT trip. I have never been so close to the equator for an extended period of time. But now I can confirm that what you learned in 5th grade about the equator being hot, is true. New format, let’s give it a try.

Watch Spotlight
Omega Speedmaster Professional (Moonwatch)

The newest Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch brings a fresh face to a familiar legend. The lacquered white dial is crisp, glossy, and balanced by applied black markers and a flash of red “Speedmaster” text at twelve. The design draws inspiration from Omega’s experimental “Alaska Project” prototypes, while standing confidently as a modern production piece.
Inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 3861, METAS-certified, with antimagnetic resistance and a 50-hour power reserve. It’s the same workhorse movement trusted across the Speedmaster line, but here it sits beneath a dial that changes the personality of the watch entirely.
On the wrist, the 42 mm case feels classic Moonwatch. The stepped dial and sapphire crystal add depth, while the white surface gives the watch an open, almost luminous quality. It carries the same tool-watch DNA that took the Speedmaster to space, but with a clarity that fits the present day.

Coffee Companion
Stumptown Hair Bender

From Portland, Oregon, Stumptown’s Hair Bender has been a staple since the late ’90s. It’s a complex blend of Latin American, East African, and Indonesian coffees that come together in a cup with chocolate, citrus, and caramel notes. Brewed as a pour-over or espresso, it’s bold without being harsh and layered without feeling fussy.
I’ve personally been to Portland a few times, but had no idea this place existed until doing some research. (Was too busy checking out Voodoo Donuts) One of the cool things about the PNW is the variety of different coffees and coffee shops. On almost every corner, you’ll find a place serving coffee and it’s likely insanely good. Give this one a taste and let me know what you think.

White Space
Don’t Do A Thing
I constantly feel the need to do something. I can’t relax and just do nothing. In fact, that’s some of the reason why I started a newsletter. “You can’t have white space on your calendar.”
But sometimes, nothing is good. I wanted to write this section to to remind us (mainly, me) that white space is okay.
Take a look at your calendar. Is it filled with different color blocks stacked on top of each other? If it is, why? Are you controlling your meetings or are your meetings controlling you?
Take a moment to remember that you are a human, and you need to relax. Your brain can’t operate without rest. So this weekend, take a look at your calendar for next week.
Where is your white space? Where are you taking some time to relax?
Hit reply and let me know.

Wrap-Up
Final Ticks
The white Moonwatch is a classic icon and the white dial is a fresh, new take. Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white-dial watch that I DON’T like.
Stop wasting your money on $8 coffees from international chains and support local coffee shops. Even better, buy your own coffee beans from these places and make your coffee at home. Stumptown has a great brew that you should try.
What do you think of this new format?
Thanks for being here, and if this issue gave you something worth passing on, forward it to one person who might enjoy it. Each referral brings you closer to climbing the Timekeepers’ Club ladder. (I am open to better names for this)
Until next time, keep your calendar honest and your wrist interesting.
